REOPENING & UPDATES
This page is the best way to stay informed about the changes to our scheduling, updates, and the latest steps we are taking to best minister to you.
Our Pastor, Shepherd Leaders, Staff, and Ministry Leaders are all in regular prayer and meetings to seek the Lord's leading on the next steps and phases for our church. Our leaders' goal is to shepherd the sheep Christ has put in their care with wisdom, passion, and biblical care. All of our decisions are being made with great amounts of prayer, discussion, and care as we seek to find the best ways to proactively minister to you while leading everyone in safety and wisdom.
While these are unique and trying times they can also be an opportunity to be more intentionally loving, devoted, and caring. As we slow down and draw near to our families, let us draw near to the Lord, search our hearts, and spend quality time with our amazing God, our families, and reach out in healthy ways to check on our neighbors and share Christ's good news.
At this time, be reminded that the Lord is our strength and shield and that the amazing God who made the universe and knows you by name is still in control of all things. We should proceed with caution in wisdom and not be overcome by anxiety or fear. Let us all the more turn to our Savior Jesus Christ in prayer, rely even more on His Scripture, and trust in His loving mercy and care.
WORSHIP & MINISTRIES
REOPEN PHASE 1
Began June 21st
Our church is now open for Sunday worship with one service at 1030am.
To ensure everyone's safety and to stay within New Hampshire's reopening guidelines, we are starting slowly with limited capacity.
We will always continue to live stream our worship and keep it available online for viewing after services complete.
HOW TO JOIN US
On-site Sunday worship at Grace River will be by reservation only.
With limited capacity, we do not want to have to turn anyone away at the door. Reserving a seat really helps us prepare to seat everyone safely in the sanctuary. Contact the office if you or someone you know needs help reserving a seat. Please bear with us as we do our best to serve you in these reopening phases.
If you need to stay home, you can always worship with us live each Sunday through our live stream.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Worship will be the same in spirit and content
Though we will be more spread out, you can expect the same full service with singing, praying, preaching, and offertory, as well as people ready to pray with you after every service.
Respect one another's views and space
Some worshiping in-person might be wearing masks and some might not, while others might not feel comfortable shaking hands or hugging. Let's respect each other's views on distancing, contact, etc. with the love of the Lord.
Please respect social distancing and leave space between yourself and others.
We have wristbands available at the entrance. You can wear one to comfortably let others know where you are personally regarding contact, proximity, etc. RED means "I'm social distancing from contact and close talking"; YELLOW means "I'm talking but not touching please." Thank you for respecting everyone's comfort level.
The Sanctuary looks a little different
You will find that every other row of seats have been removed to give more distance and we have spaced out chairs for social distancing.
Face masks are not required at this time. When you enter, we will have face masks and sanitation stations available for your convenience and safety and hand sanitizing will be available outside of the bathrooms, the Cafe overflow area, and throughout the Sanctuary.
At this time, we have removed all Bibles, envelopes, pens, and paper from the Sanctuary chairs for further safety. Please bring your own Bibles and if offering by cash it is best if you use your own envelope from home, though we will have envelopes available upon request.
If you do need a Bible please take one of ours and keep it as our gift to you.
We are cleaning and sanitizing
We are taking all appropriate measures as we reopen to be safe with our sanitation, cleaning, and spacing. All surfaces such as chairs, doorknobs, etc. will be wiped down before and after services, and bathrooms and doors being used are wiped down throughout our services.
Entrance and Bathrooms
Please enter and exit through the front entrance only at this time. The bathrooms in the Cafe are open while the downstairs ladies room is closed at this time. The downstairs Family Bathroom will be open if you need more space with your children. We are also upgrading to touchless soap and towel dispensers in our bathrooms.
At this time there will be no Cafe.
After service everyone is encouraged to fellowship outside and not linger in the Sanctuary.
At this time there will be no Family Ministry on-site. The downstairs Family bathroom and Nursery will be open and available if you need to change your child, breast feed, or have a cry space. The Nursery will not be staffed at this time and no programming will occur. Please clean up after your child when you leave the Nursery. Additionally, the Cafe space has been transformed into an overflow area and you can watch and hear the full service in this area if you choose.
We are meeting on Saturdays with a kid-friendly, family-focused service that is brief, Christ-centered, and engaging. See the FAMILY MINISTRY page for more.
Continue to unite with us as the Body of Christ. Please share the links to our online worship, Family Ministry resources and Community Group sign-ups with friends and family members.
