Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me...Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me. MATTHEW 25:40, 45
At Grace River, we love our community with the love of the Lord and seek to reach the people around us with God's rich mercy, grace, and care.
We partner with local and international organizations and follow the Lord's lead to spearhead other initiatives to feed, clothe, and bless others as our gracious Jesus has blessed us. Find opportunities below where you can join us in this kingdom work.
THE MAGI PROJECT
December 1 - 22
WHAT IT IS. Each year we receive names of local families in need and mobilize as Christ's body to share His love and support by providing meaningful gifts to children and sharing Gospel hope and truth.
WHY WE DO IT. This is a special way for us to personally reach out in care to our surrounding communities. Our goal is to go out of our way to provide gifts, ongoing prayer for the families, and share the greatest news ever - the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
WHAT TO DO. Find the Magi Project tree in the Cafe, select an ornament, and then follow the instructions to provide gifts for that child. You can bring your gifts unwrapped and marked with the child's name to the Cafe by Sunday Dec. 22nd.
Hang the ornament on your own tree as a reminder to pray for the family throughout the season.
WHAT TO DO NEXT. You are invited to wrap and deliver the gifts with hand-written cards on Sunday Dec. 22nd, starting at 12:30pm. Sign up for the wrapping and delivering party with your Community Group leader. It's going to be a very special time of bonding and putting Christ's love in action. Lunch is provided.
Let's pray the good Lord uses this simple gesture as a way to powerfully open the door for salvation.
